Greys Apollo second hand rod anyone ?

Hello Lads,

Don\'t do much fishing but would like to upgrade my rod. Currently use a 12ft conoflex cod 5 with an Abu 7500 c3ct - but would like to go for something a bit lighter.

A mate of mine said that the 13ft Greys Apollo is a great rod for hard ground and piers and there was a second hand one for sale in Rutherfords in Sunderland for £100. Went in but it had been sold - and I couldn\'t justify paying £165 for the new ones coming out soon because of the infrequent amount I fish.

Any of you lads got an old one in decent nick for sale ? Or what else do you think I should look at ?

Just called Greys and they have a 13ft Orion for £99 and a 14ft PZ300T for £150.

Anyone heard of these rods before ? If so are they value for money and good for rough ground / piers?

Cheers for any help,

Coops

theres a small fishing shop opposite the new james cook university hospital on marton rd (middlesbrough) called \'hooked\'. theyv got a fair few excellent second hand sea rods for very reasonable prices.hope this helps.ralph.

Ant,

Any chance you can give me Richy\'s contact details and I\'ll get in touch?
Don\'t suppose you know if the rod is in good nick do you ?
Is he based in the North East ?

Cheers,

Sless - He has a Conoflex Kevlar Injection Protoype thing that he bid for at the charity night and he\'s looking for another rod, possibly a longbeach to my knowledge.

Coops his email addy is [email protected] just remove the NOSPAM bit. He lives in Bensham, Gateshead, 3 doors away from me the poor sod! ;)

Had 3 codling and a whiting in 4 chucks the other night Sless, biggest 2 1/4lbs then we came away as it was past 4 in the morning.

Out out now for a few chucks.

U been out or too busy working?

Hi there
Yes i have a Greys Apollo for sale, i was going to sell in about june because it\'s always second choice over the cono flex injection but it\'s pointless keeping it if it\'s never not getting used. The rod is in very good conditon and i have a fixed reel seat with grips at the moment but they can be removed easyi was after £100 but would take £90.

only fishing the matches at the moment
when i get a chance
work eh]
who invented it
keep having to go to stupid places
miles away from the sea
