Hi all,i\'ve just bought a Jupiter (very cheap),its in excellent condition throughout..
Does anyone own one and what do you think of it ?
anyone know what its limits are ?
the lad i bought it off said it was an all rounder and would fish most places,it feels quite stiff to me so i\'am looking forward to giving it a blast,i\'ll probably not be out until Sunday poss Monday so any information will be appriecated.I\'ll probably use it as a second rod or a spare, then again :P i might like it.It looks nice anyway.
I\'ve looked through some old mags but i got fed up flicking through them.

i have had 2 jupiters
they are very good rods
they retailed for £200 about 5-6 years ago
i part exed mine for a new rod
but they will handle a lot of marks from rocks to beach
they have cast 6 oz
195 yards
thats what they used to advertise

if they are anything like the rest of the rods in the range, It\'ll do the biz. I\'ve got an apollo and an orion. Both feel incredibly strong. I\'ve given the orion more stick than the apollo and its been champion. I don\'t know if this make sense, but I\'ve lost less end gear with these rods than others. I\'ve gotten snagged as often, but manage to get more of the gear back. Maybe my knots are just tougher these days

Mark there could be a bit of truth in that i think if you have a powerful rod and decent reel with quick 6.0 retieve re slosh 535 mags etc you are going to pull your gear through the kelp etc.
