the wife bought me the apollo M2 as a present about three weeks ago,, only been used three times and i noticed the varnish around the bottom eye was starting to crack and eye was loose
any way she phoned them up to tell them and they said no problem bring it up we will replace it for you,it was arranged to take it up today there would be a replacement behind the counter ,got there bloke in shop new nowt about it,
in the mean time got a phone call to say daughter had been rushed in to hospital so was eager to be a way
got a new but end and rushed down to R V I see daughter.
when i got home i took but section out of car to check it ,, only to find it looks like a secondhand one rubber foot all wore, scratches, rubber covered in marks.
phoned greys up spoke to them, no no its new they say,, few words spoked tells me to bring it back tomorrow, its a 80 mile round trip if i do not take it tomorrow nowt they can do until the 8 january when customer services are back at work

anndy, never mind the rod is the daughter alright. On the rod situation, think Greys should be sending new rod out to you, not you collect.
 
That is one of the biggest problems with this unconditional lifetime guarantee lark.

Yes they will replace at a cost, in this case your time as well as your travelling costs which they do not take into account.

Is it not better to buy a product that is less likely to let you down.

Hope your daughter is ok.
 
might save a few miles arrange to pick the replacement up from the warehouse in cramlington mate,its situated in the admiral bussiness park.security on enterance will advice where to go as no signs on front.
good set of lads that work there.not one of them fish strange but very true.hope this helps and wish you and everyone else a merry christmas and a fishfull new year.
