Did anybody get there this weekend? Was there any decent seafishing bargains to be had?

Went there last year, on the Saturday morning, and was well disappointed with the lack of sea gear. Plenty of bargains for the fly lads though.

Went there today nowt there for sea angler and about half the amount of stock compared to last year. Just one pz match there for £99.
Some nice carp rods for 20 to 40 pound but un-named so not sure if that was cheap or not.
Bit disappointing realy.........

went late onb, 3.30 just as they were about to pack up.....

fly lines a fiver, got prodigy 2 carp rods 20quid each, grey flex 11\' spinning rod 30 quid and a PZ match for 55 quid more than a bit chuffed personally

talking to the guys in there, there was someone, first through the door this morning who just grabbed the ned 2 racks with everything on and took em straight to the tills, which happened to be where most of the bargains were.

not as good as it was 2 years ago though

Maybe the answer is to go late. PZ match was £99 when I was there. Was hoping to get an Apollo. Got a great deal on a Sirrus fly rod from the shop last christmas. 60% off. Do they ever do deals like that on beach casters?

it looks like they lopped a third maybe off sstuff at the death... couple dwith a bit of haggling a la call it 200 quid for cash!

bought some remote contol led headlamps for the kids which are pretty good for a fiver, an dvery bright

noticed a few wierd oddities in a pile as they were atarting to sort out,
what looked like a 30lb class boat road, stiff as owt, but with a baitcaster pistol grip on it, most strange thing to hold.

the Platinum Xi fly reels were reasonable at 25 quid I thought, and there were some hardy angel reels earlier on I was tld at 60 quid which would of been a huge bargain

yeah they sometimes have some in. I got a Nitra from the shop last week, 40% off so it worked out at £130. Theyve got a couple of rods in at the moment, think theyve got a tripplex for about £140. No Apollos though, thats what I was looking for :(
