Had a few hours out today to wet the new rod (Century cmc)

Fished the bend on the Groyne from low tide up.

Had a small whiting, that fell of when lifting over rocks, and a codling that was hardly heavier than me weight. LOL

Few small bites, but no other fish.

A seal turned up just before I left as well, so there must be something around?

Areet M8, I was with the lads that turned up just before you left, 6 of us had a tiny codling all day, not good fishing...

So far so good mate. Need to get a decent reel seat. Then get a bit more confidence in casting with it. Lol

Mine came with a century one,had no probs with it,its the movable one, with the coaster. The abu griplock one with the trigger grips canny too.

I'll probably get a century one before me next trip out. Quite a slim rod so I'm thinking of taking it to a shop to test the fit before buying.

cracking rods, love mine to bits, its a special from century, stiffer in the butt, never had a chance to see what its like with a decent fish on mind you lol
used it on a number of marks and it seems to be a canny all round rod, copes with heavy stuff, beach work and pier fishing, good for whacking a bait out as well ;D
