Groyne 20/10/11

[Peever lad]

I had a few hours at the Groyne last night (8pm-1am). I caught 4 codling all about 2lb, a pb pouting about the 2lb mark aswel. I also caught a nice flounder about 1lb 8oz & a whiting. I missed 3 slack liners too. My mate caught 1 codling about 2lb 8oz & a nice big loster. He also missed 3 slack liners. All fish were put back bar 1 codling that was deep hooked & bleeding badly. Even the lobster went back.

Baits used were fresh crab, fresh yellow tails & rag

All in all a good night. It was just a killer gettin up for work at 4.30am lol

Sounds a good session, us on the walkway were wondering what you lot on the groyne were upto with all the mad lights on. It was about between 21:00 and 21:30 but it turned out to be a ship lol, it looked like a ufo had landed on the groyne.

Yeah straight off the front into the channel. It went quiet over high water but the fish came back on as soon as the tide started to ebb
