thanks for that chris,andy has had it diagnosed problem,and said he it is not possible to get the part:exclam:
whilst to some degree i have to respect his diagnosis(which was paid for) i am not totally convinced the part is unavailable,so have chosen to explore other avenues
its a bearing by the way:exclam:

Why not give the reel type on here, i bet someone has an old reel lying about, that could be stripped...

what reel mate ??
i believe he stripped it to find problem,i was surprised too:exclam: but hey the lad runs a business not a charity:exclam:
the reel is an ambassadeur 7000c4 ld,i dont know which bearing it is and certainly couldnt strip the reel and put it back together:exclam:

if its a bearing it should still work mate just a bit noisey and lose some distance am sure they only have spool bearings anyway mate

If you don't mind posting the reel away try Russ at Blakdog, top bloke to deal with. I sent him my 7HT Mag last year and he did a top job at a good price.

Or send him a pm through WSF (if you are on there) and he should get back to you soon enough. Having dealt with Russ if he can sort your problem without you sending the reel off he probably will.

Have a look at the schematic Dunc.
Bearings 1072165 or 1078241 could be the culprits and shouldn't be too difficult to change.
It's always the side plate bearing that goes on Shimano TLDs

times is hard
been on sick 5 weeks,pocket money stoppedim in no hurry to get it sorted,and indeed if i dont it will end up with a couple of treble hooks on it next year see if i catch owt on it
