Had an absolute mare

Well where do i start got to tynemouth last neet for the n vs s comp and as we were parking up stores and another bloke were walking out and missed the registration and thats just a start
Decided on fishing st marys got set up and after 25 mins decided on a change of bait lost me gear didnt a 2nd cast and me reel blew up thats areet nests are sort of my thing
Had a change of destination so went to the quay and for some reason i snagged up every chuck and lost gear every chuck still ne fish between me and me pal

So time comes to 11pm and makes me last cast 20 minutes later picks me rod up to reel in struck to lift the lead and the lime snaps causing the rid to gan owa me head and crack me komp ss on the floor
Damage done : too 3 rings bent tip rings oval shaped and insert all jagged
All this and still no fukkin fish decided to gan home after that like
Bait not that it matters fresh blacks mussell lug bluey

Hardlines lad, there's nowt worse than days like that. My last bad one like that was the Whitley open. Lost a telescopic tripod leg as i was setting up, reels blowing up and losing a shot load of gear. There's nowt worse...

Hard lines mate, sometimes there are days like that. Everything went wrong for me yesterday as well and I didn't even go fishing. Good job, I,d probably have fell in if I had gone out.
Unlucky with your rod. My son smashed three rings on his rod a little while back, I took it to Terry at Reelsport and he sorted it in no time, top job too.

Thats a crap night mate. I was with Dean when you spoke on the phone.
My rod snapped after 40 mins of the comp and didn't have a spare with me as that needs a new tip ring.
Hopefully you will have a better night next time.

Dean had a rockling about 9.30 to save the his blank. Was a bit frusrating as there were plenty of good knocks but just couldn't connect.
I fished there for 4hrs last Sunday without 1 snag but last night 2 casts, 2 lost traces and 1 snapped rod

happened to me the other week.. nests every cast then to top it off got snagged up, pulled the rod back and snap, rod straight in half, pulled my back aswell, then i thought why do i do this haha

Bad day for a few folk yesterday Davey, a went up to hebburn to fish the first of the flood yesterday, wind not bad at first, but a gust took the tripod owa smashin the new Reelsport Response into a fence, bustin the tip ring, taking a chunk out of the varnish on third ring and bending the second ring ( K guides aswell by the way).
Managed to fish on hangin me bag under the rod stand, whipping the tip ring on. The Mrs started ringin me wantin me home to gan lookin at houses for my laddie. My reply was "of course dear, and incidentally i just broke my rod just befor you rang".
One whitey in four hours hoyed back (in temper) then off to Terry's on route home and dropped the rod for repair.

Completely PI**ED OFF.

Well I thought it was just me that had a sh#t night fished Whitley for the N v S comp there was no sea on at all did not even get a bite.then the rod stand blew over but the rod must of hit a rock or something next cast and me rod snapped am gutted but like they say sh#t happens .but a big well done to all that gave it a go

Don't forget that beautiful fish that snapped your rod Davy, one of the best knocks followed by a beautiful slack line of about 15 turns on the reel... Only to get hung up :/ there were loads of cracking knocks just couldn't get them.

I even managed to nest my 525, was beautiful... strange tho Happened when the lead was flying. But all in all I like that mark Davy nice and there is some quality fish there....

If an anyone guess what rod snapped ? Bet you can...
