Half price SatNavs at Halfords

After borrowing a friend's SatNav for our Summer trip to the NE, we decided it was a must have item.

We looked online today and Halfords seemed to have the best deals. Off we went to the store in town and picked up a Garmin RRP £159.99 for £79.90. Looks the business, plus when you register your model online with Garmin, you get a free upload of UK roads, so you are bang up to date.

There are also dearer models, Tomtoms etc, plus a few cheap Navmans and Racs from £30 to £50. Lynn being Lynn, asked the guy to hold it for us, we drove round to Morrison's and bought £80 of Halford vouchers, getting 8p a litre off her next petrol, so another £6 saved!

So if anyone is looking for a SatNav, now would seem to be the time to pop down to Halfords. Then go to Morrisons and get the Halfords vouchers. They also do vouchers for Next, Boots, House of Frasers etc.

that sounds a good deal mark:exclam:it will help you as you dodge around the north east collecting all the various item you have purchased:D

It seems really good.

Haha, tell me about it Duncan! Really got to stop this. :)

I didn't take your advice and bought the other Shimano, so will have 4 in total in a few days. Lynn says 1 has to go, so will choose and put one up for sale on here next week. Otherwise she is going to hide my 3 stick again :(

Garmin great choice ....
I've bought 3 now, mine (that I still use) and the daughter liked it so much I bought her and the son in law one (same model) then when the grandson passed his driving test I bought another one for him ... great model.
biggest difference I find with Garmin is that within seconds of straying from the route it re-calculates a new route to suit your requirements, the tom toms I've used keep trying to get you back on the same original route all the time before eventually re-calculating a new one.

You get a choice of accents codseeker mate, English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh etc (the South African accent is clear). Although I don't think they have the totally indiscernible language you speak, if your posts are anything to go bye.:):D
