Hall beach.

[catch a cod]

Fished the hall straight from late shift last night.Started fishing at 2am,sea looked good and first cast got a 2 pound codling,was hoping for a decent fish in the conditions and about an hour later had a big lunging bite and a slack line wound in felt the weight of a good fish but it came straight off.Thought my chance had gone i loaded up a 4/0 pennel rig with as many lug as i could cram on and 5 mins later pulled in a 5 pound 4 ounce cod,my best for a couple of years.Not much else after that,but went home happy.Sorry no pics,cheers gary.
