Hand Warmers

gelert gel hand warmers

gelert gel hand warmers

just been given 2 sets to try out today for nowt could of done with them last night i can tell ya will let you know how what there like

I used the chemical ones Tony, when you click the disc inside the liquid turns solid and they give off heat. They don't last all night but don't half warm your hands up when you fire them up. I think I got them at Lidl, they had them for sale about three years or so ago. Just boil them for thirty minutes and they turn back to liquid, reusable a hundred times they reckon.

aye I've got some chemical ones too Jim but mine were obviously crap service station type ones because they die a death after 20 mins or so...good for a quick fix I think but these bad boys burn all night apparently

The first one's I got were from Frazer's when they were in Whitley Bay and when I heard about the others I got a few of them too. I have some old Charcoal one's that are similar to yours Tony. Sometimes they were great and would stay hot all night other times they kept going out. Too much clart on so stopped using them.

I had a couple of those snap disk types, expensive ones aswell, got them as a gift last crimbo, one lasted one session, the other one 3 sessions, was told they would last for years:o
Nowadays just cup me nut sack for five after a bait up, cant go wrong, free aswell;)

lol, i got some disk ones last year, clicked them once and didnt work again :( they only stayed warm for 5 minutes aswell :exclam:

Mine have been used and boiled a few times now and they are still working ok. Just found them actually (while looking for something else of course lol) and tried one and still ok. Hotter than I remembered too.

Jim.

I have one of those and they are excellent. They can last all day! The trick is to try and judge how much lighter fuel to put in them. Too little and they will run out before your session ends. Too much and they will go on and on. Better to have too much I think. ;)

Cheers Wallsendo.....Just ordered one, been looking for ages, mate at Seaham showed me his, said it was best thing he had for fishing

Got 2 Tony mate, aand to put them to the test, i filled 1 with 10ml and the other with 15 mls, left them in my coat pockets hanging on the line, after 10 hrs both still hot, after 15 hrs only the 1 with most fuel in still red hot.
These are a must for anyone who suffers with bad circulation of the hands like me. Tried all the other types, chemical, charcoal etc and they aint a patch on these petrol ones mate
