Handling PM's

Bit of help needed.

My inbox is full ...I have deleted what I dont want to keep..

But there is stuff in their which I want to hang on to for reference.

I notice in the drop down box which includes the delete option there is a download as csv and download as text option.

Thought I would ask what happens if i choose that option.

Does it delete the messages and put them on my hard drive, or just move them to my hard drive.

Thought I had better check before I pressed the destruct button. :)

It will create a spreadsheet containing all the messages you have ticked on your hard drive. I'm not sure how easy it is to read the messages from within the spreadsheet though.

The messages won't be deleted so you can have a play around first.

Edit: The download as text looks like a better option, much easier to read.

Thanks,
I know the csv ( comma seprated variable) option would create a spreadsheet...it was more if it would delete what I have when I download it.

Seems not and will give it a go

Never actually thought about trying it with an unimportant pm before I did the whole lot...that would be too easy ...duh...

Thanks for the replies.

Cheers
Dave

Lol Dave, that was how I tried it mate. Funnily enough I had never needed to use it until you asked. If I have something important I usually just copy and paste it somewhere that I can find it easily.

Jim.
