just back from the game, 12 points out of 12, 5th in the league! who'd of thunk it after the derby day debacle!

lets hope we finish just out of the european places , unless it's the champions league of course;)

Long may it continue.

I was just thinking before... if we'd not thrown the hull game away and had won down the road we'd be second which is crazy bonkers

a good point for sunderland today

defo gonna survive I think

Agree about the mackems and hull, but i didn't expect 6 points off chelsea and spurs, so swings and roundabouts. Never quite sure if / or when the wheels may come off at Newcastle, but at least the team are working hard and look like a team, and we need to enjoy current run of form.

It also looks like sunderland are improving, they're only second bottom now:D

You know what Shola has been good for a long time in my opinion...since the promotion season has he ever put in a bad performance?
I mean I'm not a Newcastle fan but from what I have seen of him past few years he holds the ball up very well....in some ways he reminds me of Shearer!

Hes feeding Remy, might not get many himself but the big man and little man works. Downside is Remy will get all the goals and then Arsenal will take him in the summer and Newcastle will b fighting at the bottom again.

Sholas ok at the minute, but shearer he isn't ! Bit of luck remy won't go to jail and we'll sign him permanently, being a Newcastle fan means you just have to enjoy the good form / results because the wheels could come off anytime! id Take a point to night down swansea & Quick mention for crystal palace result last night, leaves the mackems rock bottom again :DHappy days:D

Didnt mean to compare him to Shearer overall! I just like the way he holds the ball up and always seems to win in the air, reminds me of Shearer and is probably where Shola got it from anyway.

Win for Newcastle tonight
Cant see Sunderland pulling off the same like...

I think a draw a piece would be good result for both teams, despite Newcastle's recent form

Believe it or not ,many moons ago Shola was touted as Big Al's "natural replacement" . He's more of a cult hero really, him being the Mackem Slayer and all! He's also scored more goals in Europe than sunderland football club, which is nice. When you watch him live He just doesn't win enough in the air, he just isn't aggressive enough, his work rate is questionable and he doesn't score enough, apart from that he's class:D but he's doing ok at the minute so it's all good, looking like he'll be off to the world cup as well, well pleased for him.

I'm not sure about alloy wheels for the mackems like, maybe some snow tyres and new break pads to stop the gus bus sliding towards the premier league trap door would be a better idea........

Gas no:confused:, Coors yes!

nufc 7th 23 points
safc 20th 8 points

Like him or loathe him Bardsley has been one your best players all season, it's not his fault your bottom of the table.

blame PDC, Ellis Short or di fanti, blame the fans for expecting too much from a relatively small club, or the scouts for poor signings,,but not Bardsley , He gives a 100% both on the field and on the casino floor:D

Typical Mag ? are you bigphil in disguise?:D

I've read the post, i can't find any quote re nufc being a "wee club" , (As apposed to sunderland who are a wee town in durham.....:D) but i presume you were referring to fergusons quote around a year ago? ferguson later backtracked a couple of weeks later:
"I want to clear up any misunderstanding that may have arisen over what I said. I have nothing but the highest regard for Newcastle fans and I always have had.

"They are up there with the best supporters in the game."

"Their passion, commitment and fervour have never wavered, even though they have had little to celebrate.

"They have turned up in numbers to get behind their team wherever and whenever the games have been played. When I take a team to St James' Park, I have stressed to the players that not only have they got to beat the opposition on the field, just as important is coping with the atmosphere created by the fans."

But obviously the mackems never use that quote.............

I'll stick to the Coors, you enjoy the gas buddy, should go nice with the cheesy chips and the relegation battle...
