Happy foxes

Two-page article in the Times newspaper today regarding the hunting ban and it would appear that the next target is shooting pheasants etc, etc,. Its only a matter of time before we are targeted lads and lasses.

Just a point of interest , the anti movement is not called anti-foxhunting it is called anti-BLOOD sports . Like it or not chaps that includes us for sure . When these lot sit down again after their victory over the hooray henries , any blood sport is next . Makes you wonder whats it all about , goverments NEVER turn round and give you anything its always taking away . Perhaps they have no more to give (All of them I mean ) and all they can do is give us constant change for no good reason . Ah well , end of rant :P

i read the PETA thing in the sun and you can see by the response it got that these foks are classed as barmsticks,i think its time someone got up an anti-anti campaign, force them to have baths and work for a living ;)

Agree with you all the way Bri. Its the normal rent-a-mob tactics and if its not one thing they are protesting about its another. I can remember years ago when one lady, (who shall remain nameless), managed to orchestrate the closing of Monkton Cokeworks. She was always on about the smell from the cokeworks even though they were in existance when she bought her house in the area. Following the closure, she was in the paper trying to get something or other either banned or closed down !. Why dont these people do someting useful with their lives for a change ?.

Cheers.

Whilst on the subject of fox hunting, I remember a few years ago when Prince Charles came to Wallsend for a state visit. He got out of the car and he was wearing a fur hat. As it was a nice summers day, he was asked why he had the hat on and replied that the Queen had asked him the previous day where he was going in the morning. He had replied \"Wallsend\" and the Queen then said \"Wear the Fox Hat\"!!!
(Think about it !).

cheers.

we are just as guilty of cruelty as the foxhunters, sticking a hook in a worm,or peeling a crab, just coz there not furry does not mean they dont feel pain.we will be targeted soon, but the only plus point for us anglers is the 2 billion pounds angling puts into the government coffers

dont see how you can compare the 2 ,putting the worms to one side i always kill my crabs before peeling ,and everything i do is a means to an end (a fish supper) the only end to fox hunting is a dead fox which serves no further use

bri first off you can\'t \"Put the worms to one side\" . That would not wash in any conversation with them mate. Secondly have you ever put a fish back in the water to swim away. As I have allready posted on here as a reply to Marks post, As previously said he dissagrees with it but.
They will argue that if you release a fish and catch it again it is fighting for its life AGAIN is that not cruel.
Still being devils advocate here mind, I hate everything that the anti\'s do the same as most on here.
What comes out of a worm if you prick it while putting it on your hook.

Jim.

I\'m more for than against hunting,I\'ve seen the carnage a fox can cause, yes theres probably a more humane way of destroying them,if the hunts call it a day what will happen to the hounds, not sure how many there is,20 30 maybe, looks like the vet will be busy.Personally I dont think they will stop they could never police it for a start, alot of the police will be local Bobbies, once the dust settles i think they will turn a blind eye.

jim lol it wasnt meant as leave the worms out of it lmao ok worms are bred for bait ok that wont hold water either unless its lug ;) i dont dig my own,and i always nip off the head before hooking em i do return fish that are undersized or heaven forbid ive got enough in me bag but this differs from course fishing where its catch and release at all times bar the odd trout, ell posted a thread about game fishing which i dont agree with,50% of the times i go fishing i might blank (might) on the days i do catch the fish are killed quickly ,they have no young which might be left to fend for themselves etc
What comes out of a worm if you prick it while putting it on your hook
is that a trick question ,i dont know but it tastes awfull
I\'ve seen the carnage a fox can cause
who was there first alan the fox or the farmer ?shutting up now ive lost the plot :casstet:

Bri,without going into too much detail on locations etc.
A fox will enter a Pheasant cree,it will kill 30 - 40 birds but will only take one away to eat.......yes theres easier ways to kill them or cull them, shoot them i suppose but guns are\'nt politically correct now, your typical everyday farmer runs around Nottingham shooting young girls and on his day off on Boxing Day he shoots a Policemen.........where does it all end. Will they ban driving if people continue to drink and drive,don\'t be silly
The Government wants to look at other issues first like Global warming, poverty, unemployment etc
I wonder how many potential voters are Pro hunt, not many i guess ! Policies for votes
there will be some other pointless Policy before the election.

my point being alan that the farmer knows the fox is out there so precautions can be taken as for the fact that theres more important issues need attention ,you wont get an argument from me on that score ,its my view that guns arnt the problem but the people that own them and stringent laws are supposed to be in place to ensure that idiots dont own guns which isnt always fool proof as the news often proves,as for drunk drivers yes they should ban them and keep them banned , i see your point but you cant tar everyone with the same brush, not all gun owners are likely to go off on one,and a drink driver isnt the same as a normal driver etc etc ,this issue is more about the antis getting there own way ,while i agree on the fox hunting the line has to be drawn somewhere on whats right to ban and not ,for example i fully support animal testing for medical grounds but not for cosmetics ,fishing for the pot but i dont agree on catch and return in the name of sport ,(cough)a bit 2 faced on that one lol as i do fish lakes but ill point out id like to keep them im just not allowed :(

Bri that was\'nt all aimed at you,it just came out lol
at the end of the day \"Common sense prevails\" something this Government is lacking in.

Just a daft question,, but whats the army/navy/air force going to do if they ban shooting ????? hoy bails of hay at the enemy??? if it\'s good for one, it\'s good for all,, a\'int it?
