Happy Mondays

I went to see the Happy Mondays at the new Carling Academy in ***castle last night. It\'s the first time I\'ve seen them since I was about 18yrs old.

Absolutely outstanding they were to....(apart from Shaun Ryder not knowing the words to any of his songs and having to read from a songsheet all the way through......) It\'s the first time I\'ve interfered with a dancefloor in about 15yrs.....!!!

When I last went to see them in 1990 everyone was skinny with long hair and baggy clothes. Last night was hilariuous....I recognised people from the same music scene in the early 90s and they are all like me, fat, ugly and going bald. It made me feel so much better...!!!

The academy is a great venue and I\'ve booked up to see a few more bands today...can\'t wait to re-enter my second childhood..!!!

Our lass said \"You wanna grow up\". My reply cannot be written on a public forum.

Couldn\'t get Ian Brown tickets Ell.......sold out straight away. He\'s doing some Stone Roses covers during his tour as well which I would have liked to hear.

On the upside there\'s a Stone Roses tribute band playing there on 26th Nov. Tickets £10

There might have been a mix up with the Ian Brown tickets jeff, the young un reckoned one place said sold out and another place had loads left, if you haven\'t missed it it might be worth having a shufty, I\'ll ask him what the craic is when he gets in.

Jeff,
There\'s a bloke at work got tickets to the Ian Brown gig, but he can\'t make it. He\'s posted them for sale on our intranet. I\'ll see him on Monday and ask if he\'s still got them.
Don\'t know how many he\'s got......his \"for sale\" notice reads \"ticket/s\"

I remeber when Shaun Ryder was on TFI Friday. He was warned not to swear (again) so he go on stage and I think his 2nd word was F***ing.

He\'s now banned from anything on channel 4 :D

Would be interested in any Ian Brown tickets if anyone hears anything....cheers. I\'m looking all over for them though so please don\'t committ yourself on my behalf. I\'d hate to end up with a pocketful...!!!!!

I must be going through a second \"difficult teenage period\" despite being 33yrs old, (Ell will understand). I\'ve booked tickets to see The Prodigy and The Chemical Brothers. Any head doctors out there....PM me please...!!!

You\'re never just 33!!! How many paper rounds did you have when you were a kid!!! ;)

Six Foot......unfortuneatly the Prodigy are on at the Arena. The tour is to coincide with the release of their greatest hits album. I believe there are still some tickets left. Go to gigs .co.uk If not you can always buy them outside, and there not to expensive if you wait until the last minute. I was lucky enough to see them there in 1997 for the\"Fat of the Land \"tour. They were first rate then but I still prefer smaller venue\'s. I first saw them in 1990 at an illegal warehouse party somewhere off the M25....that will never be bettered, (Ell was probably one of the Groupies....!!!)

TC....I got some Ian Brown tickets.....thanks anyway.

Davyred.....I may look old but your arse is huge.
