went out sunday got towed back lol. then went out again fishing off souter i managed severn cod up to 8lb jon managed one cod and a nice conger about 9 lb boby had one cod and paul had one cod we went out about 12 due to my bad start and back in for 4ish so all in all not abad day .

Hit a pot or just engine trouble?

I ahte starting my boat up after the winter lay off (6 months with out turning over) heart in mouth stuff the first trip out.

Nice to see a few fish as well

Glad you got sorted out and back on the road.
Did you manage to get the tank flushed out and did you get the fittings OK for
the fuel filter/water trap I gave you. Never gave it a thought at the time but have all the fittings at work -next time !!!!!!!!

I have needed to use the back up outboard 3 times in 6 years with my boat and twice was because of fuel issues, it is a stomch sinking feeling when somehting goes wrong at sea but happens to all of us at some point.

Some big seas's on the way (so they say) so i guess the inshore ground will be a mess for a while now, shame as seems to be some good reports of late from private boats and JFK had some good days and Sapp's night trip also been landing.

35 years off the tyne boat fishing and ain't caught or seen one off the tyne yet !
And they take the same methods as ling fishing and I've had a couple of them .maybe soon eh global warming etc etc
