just heard a rumour that the pilot pier has been closed.... has anyone heard about it ? I cant check as I,m in dock with asthma for another week... I know its not the best spot but its still handy to be able to fish it when conditions are right... ive seen the photos there of the tidal surge on thur/fri..

Yes mate its closed, we were along there yesterday.. The building on the right as you go onto the pier is being demolished. Its all fenced off, shouldnt take too long (hopefully)

you can still get on at night.
