me ,keith & jonjo set off 4 hauxley & when we got there there was 2 lads on the silvers so we desided 2 head out 2 the half moon skeer further out.
after a clamber over the ankle snappers & the wade waste deep we got 2 the mark & baited up.
keith hit straight in2 the 1'st fish as me & jonjo lost our first set up
all the time we could see the 2 lads on the silvers pulling in fish, some double headers
after me & jonjo lost another setup, jonjo desided 2 join the lads on the silvers & i set up a new reel with braid & headed 4 the next skeer over, i could see a gateway cut in2 the skeer infront of me & disided 2 just drop a line just 25yrds out in2 the gateway & bang fish on in 5 chucks i pulled out 4 codling. then the next 3 chucks out i lost 3 fish, all the time keith was hitting fish he managed 1 around the 3lb mark all other fish around the 1 1/2-2lb
4 codling each we ended up with b4 we had 2 get off the mark sharpish
we got back 2 the beach 2 meet up with jonjo who had no luck
the 2 lads he met up with on the silvers left with about 14 codling between them, biggest was a few around the 3lb mark.
its been a while since i been out but was well worth it
