Head video cameras

I know they are used alot by the Yak lads but i am looking at a new toy, i am after one of them small video cameras that can be attached to your head or maybe clipped on your top but with out doing loads of reading up on them yet i have no idea what to go for.

I am willing to pay upto £400 so this should give me a canny selection to choose from and i would also like one to be easy to transfer over to a pc to make videos with.

Really love to start recording days i feel will be good such as tope fishing trips, skate and my Norway trips.

Alright Richy, have a look at the GoPro hero, my boss has one and uses it for scuba diving and skiing, loads of mounting options, including head and chest, the picture quality is awesome !!!!!

So, video cam headgear when we're in Norway!! Bloody hell, I'm going to have to shave every day and mind my language!! However, there is some upside, the video headgear will probably mean the "Village People" sailors hat will have to go.

No way Tony, the head gear will be designed around keeping the hat in good condition, thou i may need to change its colour to pink to match the head straps :)

Well as for the sound when we are in Norway, i guess i will just play tunes in the background are all you will hear from me is ne of two things.....

"Hit bottom and 1 jig, fish on"

or

"Where are the bloody cod"

Its always one or the other nothing in between

Mind the abuse will need ot be covered up if we hit as many Torsk as we did in 2013 :)

Ok cheers you lot i will check out that make.

Don't know much about them Richy, but see quit a few cyclists using them, so I guess a cyclist shop could be a good place to start.

ith that 400£ budget . go pro . with porta wifi . and all the features u cant go wrong....however if u tight ar se like me . ten pound will get u video spy glasses...

Check the head camera's on Ebay, 720p for £35. fully waterproof. Some adds show video quality from head camera.

the cost will be in line with online retailers so we attract more sales, why order online when you can walk out of a shop having paid online prices

I agree and even if its a tadd more then online i purchase local..not just with tackle shops but everything....overheads have to be paid some how...so a the same or a little extra is fine with me.

I defo wish a Hero 3 or maybe the 4 if they have moved on much since the 3 was released, i only live 3 miles from Moonfleet so will pop in sometimes, i would pop in more but Frasers is less than a 100 second walk from my house.

I have also been after looking at a Penn Internatinal 2-speed (gold) 30 and the Shimano 2-speed 30 range but can i hell find someone that stocks them.....not something the north east angler purchased and too expensive for tackle shops to hold on stock as its lost money like you know if you cant turn them around quick.

P.S

Ypu lot going back to Norway in 2014 then? you had a cracking time from what i heard back in late May, we fished the same ground in mid July but not the big boys you got but the numbers of 5-12lb fish silly at times..think my best from tip of Silda was 27lb cod that week.

We have booked for early June this year, not 24hr sun light but not far off...know a bit more of the area now so hoping for more fishign time and less looking for marks that may hold fish.

Sandland only had 3 weeks left and that was about 2 months ago so be suprised if you get booked up now...it is a cracking part of the world as you know :)
