Headlamp advice

Hello folks,

Im after a rechargeable headlamp as my xmas pressie, and I hope you can give some advice. Its should be able to have enough power for up to 8 hours (although not on constantly), with decent light output. Budgets a bit limited mind you!

I've been looking at the Night Searcher Matrix LED, but I'm not sure if the 1 watt luxeon led searchlight will be powerful enough. The same company make the Nightsearcher Halogen/LED. I've also been looking at the Speleo technics catchmaster, but cant decide.

Any advice will really be appreciated.

i use the trinceton tec apex and a mfa rechardable led and they are both toppa headlamps would recommend them to any1

Got to agree with the princeton tec apex, I just got one of these because sometimes my tiga lamp can be a bit heavy to cart around, it's got good light and is great for beaches, piers. Having said that you can't beat the tiga for rocks. You'll get the apex on ebay for around £40.

here is the Princeton Tec Apex NiMH Runtime Test So you will get some idea of how long you will get. FYI Duracell's dont last 2 1/2 hrs

Just bought one of these £65 as my Tiga has gone back to be repaired. you get the charger and battery included in that price which in the long term saves you lots of pennies! Spare batteries are only £13 and from my previous experience MFA customer service was excellent.:red:
