I've got the Princeton Tec apex, the one that takes standard AA batteries.
It's pretty much bomb proof and lasts a session no problem.
The main beam has no focus, which is a pain when cliff fishing,
Imo, if it had a tight main beam it would be the ultimate fishing headlamp.
I've got most of the Cree lamps and they are ok back ups. I'm still looking for the 'perfect' lamp.

Hi mate I use the h7 laser light the rechargeable one.
It's great spot beam or wide and it lasts a Sesh no problem a very good piece of kit. It's also very light the only goes around your head which I find is better.for around £40 there not a bad price.

I use both a Tiga & an H7, but last winter I decided I'd had enough of the big Tiga headpiece & a wire down my neck; and while the H7 was perfect for the beach etc. it wasn't enough for a lot of the rock marks I fish. So a couple of weeks back, after deliberating over several models, I finally plumped for a Fenix HP11. I haven't had a chance yet to fully road-test it so to speak, but it certainly looks like a good piece of kit with 4 brightness settings and a nice looking beam on it. Should get a chance in the next couple of weeks to really see how it performs.

Gary :)
