simply lads looking to buy a cree headlamp but so many about confused al i want is waterproof zoomable batteries 18650 not bothered about bells and whistles any recomendations thanks[/QUOTE
I recently bought a lenser h7r of 'Flea Bay' for £20, cracking lights, I prefer it to my h14r, & h7r2.
Lightweight, Tiny, lasts 4-5 hours with decent batteries, and I haven't any bother with the three h7rs I now have. I keep one in the car, with eneloops, for emergencies, one for missus trying to get tom cat in every night, and one partnered with the 14 for fishing.
I use the 14 to walk in/out of venues, and tackling up, but I prefer fishing with the 7 as it has a potentiometer on it, so as I don't like tip lights, I set it on low, wide beam, and it shows up the 'Solas' a treat, and I also don't loose my night eyes ! The h7r2 is brighter, but numb, and has fiddly controls.
I regularly spray all my headtorches with silicon lube, and they work a treat in the worst weathers.
Hope this helps?
