1hour b4 top of the tide approx high tide was 2pm must be a lot of fresh water in the river as it was really high 4 the size of the tide

one hell of a nice tyne cod, hard to believe ya get them that big that far up the river, and during daylight, but ya must have put the bait in the right hole at the right time ,well done mate.

Cracking fish for the river, or anywhere! Well done.
I fished that spot last week, caught nowt and lost loads of gear.
What a difference a week makes.

Excellent fish mate! Well done. I have thought about fishing that mark myself as I live quite close. Is it snaggy all along or are some bits better than others?

the fish was caught on rag and crab i seen steve0 down by the grassy bank for a hour but their was nothing and loads off rubbish catching the lines so we packed up just after he left,it can be snaggy of the front but i like to use a plain lead and welt it out into the middleof the river then it generally settles parralel with harrisons and i find the fish are under the rock ledges up thier loking for the crabs i,ve had cod up thier to 6 and a half over the years fishes well on the bigger tides hope this helps
