hebburn marina 24/12/11

had a quick 3 hour session at hebburn marina upto high water. only 2 bites which resulted in 2 cod, 1lb12oz and 2lb8oz both fish on the last live crab i had, also had fresh blacks and prawns but not even a sniff, seems the fish still want fresh crab.

it may be down to mild start to winter why cod still prefer fresh crab.does this make sense ??

there must be a few crab still peeling, when i gutted the two fish the larger of them had 2 softies in its gut, never known them to peel this late in the year, i know its been a mild winter so far but not so mild as to of thought the crabs would still be peeling, very strange,
