Good to speak to you last night. I packed up not long after you left, the rain got even heavier. Not the best place to get the car off when it's wet where you were. Looks like the rain is in for the day, football for me today.

I've never been to Hebburn Marina so I don't know the layout; but you mention having difficulty getting the car off the wet grass. I'm assuming that the wheels were spinning etc. I hope that the grass isn't too chewed up and in a muddy mess; because that's the kind of thing that gets fences put up and areas made out of bounds. I know a lot of people fish that area and it would be a miss to them if fishing was stopped because of people parking on the grass.
Is it not possible to leave the car on hard ground somewhere near? How far would you have to walk from the nearest road?

I only mention this as nobody wants to lose good fishing marks.

hello chris
i understand where you are coming from have bmw estate m8 it couldnt spin if it tried m8 just a bit of a bank but it was a only a few minutes walk but didnt want to leave it up near the trees as wasnt sure of the area but next time will park on solid land cheers

There's more to worry about with the nuggets lighting fires down there than a few tyre marks on the grass. Loads of people drive on to that bit with no problems but it was soaking last night. Also it is a good idea to keep your motor as close as you can in the dark in that area.I know I do.

LMAO

The only people that they should fence off the grass to down there is the irresponsible dog owners that leave dog sh*t absolutely everywhere.

No harm in carefully parking on the grass in my eyes, not as though your driving a tank or a tractor......

by the way thanx for your thoughts on the up keep of grass yes i had a up and down night on the fishing front dont no if you read that part my lawn is looking a bit patchy off my chickens so i will get it fenced off and make that out of bounds lol lol
p.s ive ordered some grass seed off ebay will scatter it around where my car was cheers cheers chris lol

OK lads; chickens, grass seed, patchy lawns; all very funny. In my 50 years of fishing I've seen access to several fishing marks blocked off; just didn't want to see another mark lost.
As I don't fish over there I'll just keep my nose out and I'll say no more about it.
Good luck.

I understand your concern Chris but what I said is true, the council have more concerns than cars on the grass down there. Not having a go at you.
