Yes, in between the Sea Cadets and Hebburn marina is a place known locally as the wires. It's good for flatties but you will have to fish there over low tide.

ragarding ur post mate about "the wires" it may also be known as "the mesh". i from jarrow and a few of us have known it as that. also there is a place down the river think its called viking indutrial park, the police marine head quaters is there thats a cracking shot too. had codling to 3lb from there and great flatties.
