I personally don't think that it will be the same guy. due to the fact that the wind would be against him and the tides have not really been massive, but things like this happen. as the story below suggests.
their was one Sunday morning the crew at Cullercoats lifeboat were training with the dummy and one of the helmsman thought it would be a good idea to take the high viz jacket of the life size dummy to make the search harder for the other crew to find when they relaunched on exerciser. So when the other crew launched they spent the full hour searching with no look so they came back in had a look on the chart to see on theory where the dummy should be, so they worked it out and relaunched with no luck. so after another hour of searching they give up. about a week or so later we got a letter from flamborough RNLI with a message saying they had found the dummy washed up on their beach some 100 miles away.
So bodies can travel a fair distance but he only went in on friday night and thats why i dont think it will be him
