I personally don't think that it will be the same guy. due to the fact that the wind would be against him and the tides have not really been massive, but things like this happen. as the story below suggests.

their was one Sunday morning the crew at Cullercoats lifeboat were training with the dummy and one of the helmsman thought it would be a good idea to take the high viz jacket of the life size dummy to make the search harder for the other crew to find when they relaunched on exerciser. So when the other crew launched they spent the full hour searching with no look so they came back in had a look on the chart to see on theory where the dummy should be, so they worked it out and relaunched with no luck. so after another hour of searching they give up. about a week or so later we got a letter from flamborough RNLI with a message saying they had found the dummy washed up on their beach some 100 miles away.

So bodies can travel a fair distance but he only went in on friday night and thats why i dont think it will be him

The one who went off shields pier got back out and went back to south shields hospital where he come from.

My pager went off for this job on Sunday. Sadly unable to go as my house was torn to pieces by a plumber looking for a leak that was pouring into our sitting room. We had two teams from Howick and Seahouses as well as 131, RNLI and the police.

Just when I thought my day was ****, the thought for this guys family put my ****ty day in perspective.

We have now had two bodies recovered from our patch within the last month, and I think that some people on here should think before they make derogatory comments. Mental health affects a huge percentage of the population and who knows if or when it could be a family member or friend that finds themselves in such a place.
