Alreet lads n lasses, ive got a pair of diawa chesties and have split the crotch. The hole is no bigger than a 5p piece but dont know how to repair it, ive got the repair fabric but dont know what to do with it!!!
Help im Leaking!!!

Are you in trouble jamie, anywhere where chesties crease is hard to repair properly. You should have a full repir kit, glue, patches etc with your chesties, my last cheties came with a printed sheet to tell you what to do. Mind it was quite simple put the glue on both chesties and patch, wait till it got tacky and then stick together. I used to put something heavy on to keep parts compressed. In the posistion it is could be as well to put a patch on the inside. If this fails only advice is, stay out of deep water.

Aye Jamie ,I had the same bother myself recently and bought a new set of chesties rather then messing about.

Got to agree with all of the above Jamie. I have repaired waders on the legs but when I tried to repair anywhere like the crotch it was hopeless.

cheers lads, i think i got glue but have lost it somewhere, i was hoping to do just a quick repair til i get a new pair. What sort ov glue is it? A couple ov lads said you can iron the patches on but had a try and it never work so think they were taking the p*ss!

i had the same problem with mine , i used poxy resin been ok ever since , give it a try.......

Use aquasure you get it from the tackle shops its about £5 a tube, once you have used it put the tube in the freezer, then it can be used again, it has saved me a fortune over the last few years, my chesties get plenty holes in them when im doing my traps, and its always stopped the leeks. i just smere it on inside and out i dont use any patches.

Thanks for the advice lads, like i said john n sless the hole was in the crotch, would have been ok if it was a leak in the boot, but i aint folding it in half for any1 !!!
