Hello, me and my mate are going fishing for a few hours at high tide, only taking a 9ft spinning rod, bought some Of these power worms that we are dying to try out. Anyway looking for somewhere to go, north of the tyne, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Try dunstonbough castle .
Use a float set up with the power worm as bait you might catch a few pollock that way.
I think this maybe your best shot.

You can do worse than Blyth pier, sometimes the best way is to not bother casting out and just dop your line down as close to the wood as you dare

this! if the worms fail try makky strip on the float, or even freelining with a swivel as a weight. both of which is what i was doing last time loads of coalies kicking about close to the structure
