alright lads been having trouble with my computer problem is after
been on it for a bit the screen goes off altogether i can get it back on
but it means turning it off at the mains letting it cool off for a bit
the place where i bought it has closed down hackers in south shields
its only 6 month old
any advice much appreciated lads

and to make matters worse had an accident at work today
went ar se over t it and it feels like ive broken my little finger
on my right hand ( no fishing for me today )
 
Tony do you mean you have to turn just the screen off for a while? or the base / tower unit?

The fan on my video card keeps stopping, you could have a look inside and make sure both processor fan & fan on video card are spinning round as a starting point
 
thanks keith at last a reply i turn the whole thing off ill try to look
at that in the morning as im half cut and i can bearly press the buttons
on the keyboard im still at the one finger stage
 
cud be one of 2 things if its just the monitor going off,

number 1 will be as keithb says try the fan on the graphics card if it as one added or if its one of the motherboards with graphics built in you might have to update the drivers for it

number 2 will be the monitor itself, how old is it exactly and was it new when you got it or sh ? is it a tft screen ? how longs it left switched on when you leave the pc running ?

even if the shop you bought it from as since closed you can go to the monitor maker direct for warranty replacements if it is the monitor thats faulty :cool:
