ive heard reports of the mackeral been caught off the coast of hartlepool but havent spoken to any 1 who has caught any, does any 1 have anymore info on this? cheers.

welcome to NESA mate. never heard nowt my self i know they are getting one or two off the boats. may be when the weather warms up a bit we might get them in.

hi dan, welcome to NESA, there are mackerel off the tyne so i`m fairly certain they`ll be off hartlepool ok since they build in numbers from the south. I think like eddie says as soon as the wind drops and the boats get out they`ll be plentiful, mainly a mile or two off for the next few weeks then closer in as the water warms and clears.
