Well-known member
so i've been fishing for a couple months now and only really know the very basics what i've taught myself to be honest....so was wondering if i could get some better knowledge of setups (photos if any one has any) best way to bait up with different baits....like a say i've been plugging away and i think i've taught myself as much as i can...and as i dont know anyone that fishes am more than grateful for any ones help....

AGAIN TEERS FOR YOUR HELP.....AND IF THIS SHOULDNT BE IN THIS SECTION SORRY....

My best advice would be to join a angling club one i can recommend is seaham angling club top notch club and has the added bonus of been able to fish the north pier, also have a look in the sea angler mag the bait and rigs dvds are very good for the beginner but are not cheep, also youtube have some sea angler top tips on for free but as i say joining a club and mixing with experienced anglers is the best way to learn fast and meet like minded lunatics that like standing on a rock in the dead of winter at 3am:D

Id recommend tynemouth club, i dont fish for them but they are a good established club and i know a few members and they are good lads, again they fish their own pier and also roving matches, just down tha road from you.

longbentonand seaton burn register at billys tackle north sheildsgood bunch of lads u will be made welcome and pick up a few tips good luck:)

Buy a book.
I did from Blyth shop and it had all the basics on bait, where to dig it if you wanted to,how to get it on the hook and keep it there plus a pile of ideas for any kind of end rig you could think of.
Taught me the basics as i had been out the game for a while and things change.
Do all the rest as well but it was handy at times to have the book to go back to

lukey dont be afraid to ask if u see others fishing i find most anglers a freindly bunch who will allways offer advice mate good luck

Best advice I can give, is keep stuff simple and basic, you won't get the prime catches, but you will catch more, small as they will be, but from there you will learn.

Theres also sea angler total sea fishing & boat fishing monthly magazines plus numerous forums & websites can offer advice
