Helping fellow anglers...

i dont know druridge bay and if it is like the blast beach at seaham , it is a bloody large beech and there is parts that fish better than others at different times of the year , so he might of been askijng what part of the beach to maximise his chances of catching something, which could be the differance of having a good days fishing or a crap one . you shouldnt take someone down for asking a question esspecially on a site which prides its self on being a friendly helpfull site to encurrage angling in general .

PMSL, its tounge in cheek FFS, where has the old NESA gone??, davey gave the lad an answer and a fair one, i tried the link and it does what it says. lighten up!!!!!

Its like marksworld says, its tongue in cheek. This is more like the old NESA and some of the ribbing we used to get and dish out. Its all light hearted banter and brightens the day up for everyone. So like the man says LIGHTEN UP.

I must say I agree with this somewhat. At first I thought, yes, its damned impolite. But then I remembered, a couple of years back I got some messages on a potholing forum I am a member of and this guy wanted info on some caves. The tone of the messages was very similar to the one Davyred got, possibly worse. Eventually I met up with the guy to do this underground trip and he was actually a really nice kid, nothing like his PM suggested.

Maybe some folk just aren't too good at expressing themselves when writing. I guess its hard to really suss out someone via the internet.

totaly agree....."the film was ok but not as good as the book"?! all depends how you read into it i supose :)

maybe he could of asked in a bit better way or put it another way this is a forum and you are going to get pm's like that if ya dont like the question dont answer it.

If i got a pm like that i would just answer it properly but thats me.

Is this a friendly and helpfull site????????????? you get this quite a bit on this site why.?????????????????????????????

someone asks a question and they get slaughtered for it.

Couldnt of put it better meself mate. Yes no manners in literature but could be the nicest bloke ya ever met. Silly thread if ya ask me ????

fair point well made

fair point well made

"what part of duridge were you fishing directions please"- that would have put my back up right away

how hard would it have been to type :

"alright mate, i noticed in one of your posts you fished duridge bay last week, i fancy a hoy up that way but i don't know the area at all, as i normally fish south of the tyne, any chance you could give me a few pointers re location & tide etc? and if you need any help with any marks south of the tyne just let me know and i'll help you out, cheers."

in life in general, if your'e asking for help at least try and be nice about it..
