Now that the dust has settled, I think it's time for me to have my say. I shot the video to put up on a popular website that I go on which is visited by people from all over the world. And I love nothing better than showing off the beauty and the exploits that I get up to in my home town. However, the Shields Gazette got their "beady eye" on it, they contacted me and said "we're running a story about rock fishing, do you want to comment on it?" And the rest is History, as they say.

I've never laughed so much in my life at some of the posts that have been made, even better still was the new members who created accounts on WSF just to have a pop at me.
That's entertainment, some people should really "get a life".

no wonder i couldn't find it when searching youtube with title / tag's you have on. cheers for posting it up

never talk to reporters

never talk to reporters

i must be the only person that agree's with you
everyone else has give you the lickings of a dog
hahaha

fukc the lot of them mate
hahahahaa

you should have took them rock fishing instead of jumping on cliff edges then they might have had a decent fishing story

tony you will always have trumpets commenting on other peoples fishing exploits good on you for having the balls to fish the mark the same people on wsf lick henry gilbeys arse and he admits freely to fishing dodgey rock marks

Nice one mate. Got a "leap of faith " mark over on the Mull of Galloway. Actually mine is just a step over compared to yours !!!

Keep the faith

ray you have got it wrong this isnt a rock mark mate the newspaper is just after some cheap news as usual....they need to go to arbroath if the want to see some "proper" rock fishing..although saying that there is a few marks around whitburn marsden on the right conditions that will give a decent fishing story

tell you what mate, if they had a rod reel and line 200 years ago you would be safe in the eyes of the law. ignore the signs its H&S gone mad. I can completely understand the reason for the signs (because people are brain dead these days and would walk off the cliff's like lemmings lol), never made that jump yet, but intend to at some point lol we prefer top and bottom of target (not for the tackle loss like).

If the council had any sense they would release a statement confirming that angler go out of there way to get to the best spots BUT they cannot confirm that they agree to this they realise that the anglers that jump normally are 1; experianced and 2; with there mates.

Its not like charv maloy with his 3 brain cells trying to jump it for fishing..... he'd probaly be jumping it to fly :-| cause he's tanked on ket and speed lol... anyway keep up the SAFE rock fishing lol

whoa mate, respect for ya on that one, as someone who came off a cornish cliff face years ago and has just watched that with moving guts and an arse trying to clamp onto my couch, i wish i could overcome the fear of hieghts its left me with, even that vid had me a touch uneasy, then again im one angler that wont be on your mark when you go fishing there ;)
only comment i will post to you and anyone else with the guts to fish the mark is - keep safe
take it from someone who has the lemming extreem sports gold badge, it aint the fall - its what you hit that hurts :D:D

I thought the leap on to the end of Warkworth pier took guts
not enough line on all my reels to fish from that height.
