Went down to Hartlepool today and stopped off at Nets got some lovely blacks and rag and squid from Liam then headed over to the Heugh.
Two lads on the end time now about 12:30 pm. Bad start after spotting couple of Porpoises off the end about 1/4 mile off but thought well if they are there fish must be. And i was right. Whities and big ones. I was using two rods and lost count how many i caught and these were on massive bulked out baits. Gave them to Trotter up top for the old boys in his local club.
There was no Cod. Stayed till 6:45 pm then called it a day.
It was an enjoyable session with nice weather and some good company.
Next time out will probs be Norway when we leave on the 25th Nov. Hope to catch some elusive Cod then.

Mick.

i must have just left before you came on i only had mackeral for bait out the freezer, hoping for some whities but none turned up i did get 2 small codling though, well done on the fish mate, i think i will go down tonight when the kids go to sleep and try my new surfblaster out.
