Just about time for the spring run to come through too , sea will settle down and clear up nicely , cod will be taking flies off the top never mind crab and squid off the bottom , got my boat back in the marina and heading out for my first trip of the season on Friday , nice tides too , what more could a man ask??:D

Wont be that many, 400 boats stuck in the marina in the Tyne for at least 1 week more, no water in the lock at all when i walked pasted today...was very impressive to see.

We'll be out in time for the first of the spring fish. Until then the weather is good for getting the antifouling done and completing all the DIY jobs at home - extra brownie points for when we're let out.

Have to admit Norman , it was wrote with a wry smile on my face knowing you lot in the Royal Quays would be stuck indoors as it were , no doubt I'll spend several glorious sunny days sitting out in the boat catching .......... nowt :( It's still a bit early up here , two weeks after they hit Tynemouth you reckon , so I'm not counting my chickens (or cods) lol.
It'll be good to get out though and blow the winter cobwebs well and truly away , this seems like it's been the longest winter of my life.
Maybe I'll have a motor down to the yellow can on Saturday , in the calm (calm Friday and Saturday :o) seas , motor down on the flood , fish the top and motor back up on the ebb , catch all them codlings whilst there's no competition from the RQ lads lol.
Couldn't spare me a few co ordinates for that area could you  :D:D
