would'nt know never used as i don't know what it would do to the carbon weave etc. it i use a blunt stanley knife blade straight up and down and scrape the finish off then wet and dry paper. To strip a guide just cut the threads thats going over the guide foot and peel away(this is how i do it others may be different).Try searching on youtube theres tons of useful vids you can watch for rod building if your stuck if i know i'll help but the two main rod building guys are fishfingers(stan)and primoman(alan)they are the very best.

i made a rod drier from a old fan ,has 3 setting speeds ,pulled cage off and fan blades ,the bit on the top what you use to sett position of fan to still or side to side ,i mounted a big socket on and it turns at good pace with the rod in ,rested on home made rod stand turner ..i dont bother with now if anyone wants it

Just found a lad to do custom rod decals on eBay
He is also doing a century kompressor 1 for me £3.50.
Bargin I'll put a link in later so you can see
Ian
His name ... Bluestormsigns ...very helpful lad

not bad at all ian i would have some velcro straps on so when you are wrapping the very end of the the tip section it does not fall out of the wrapper and snap the tip unless you have a long table that can support the other end of the rod if you no what i mean

This is what i mean i know yours extends but just incase it does.nt extend enough to support the tip
