Where are you based?

situated in newcastle near the tyne .... its looking like the float is stuck to the lack of pre winter service , ill learn the hard way .

any info regarding service repair would be good .

any recommendations on fuel /carb cleaner !

thanks ...

have you tried manual pumping excess fuel through with the primer bulb to free it?

crack the brass drain nut on the bottom of the suspect carb and pump the bulb while tapping the carb body (rubber mallet or something) then nip the drain nut up and see if it's any better

also be worth checking all the rubber fuel lines and clips to make sure there's no leaks/cracks

update re sludge in carbs errr !

ok managed to sort the outboard out had to strip the carbs down literaly and clean them with petrol ....
tryed knocking the bowl but with this amount of old dryed up petrol
i wouldnt think that would work .

the crap in the bottom of the carb bowl was  holy moly .

took a few snaps to let you see whats what ....
1st this is where the petrol was leaking out of i take it its the carb overflow ..
