got a few

got a few

Got a few,a very small, useful pen style diamond file, that stays in my rig wallet, Where it hardly ever gets used, for the one reason like most people use chemically etch hooks if they blunt or I click the point l swap rigs with new hooks.End of sessions l through away at home safely used hooks.l do have a larger diamond hook file l use on larger hooks but only tends to be used abroad for sharks.

The small diamond fishing files purpose made are best as they have a grove to locate the hook shank when sharpening, about 7 quid although someone got me a copy from poundland that looked and did same thing.

I've got a leatherman multi tool which has a metal file on and it sharpens hooks up a treat. It's probably one of the most useful things in my rucksack.
