What's the deal with Circle Hooks?....I've been reading that they are "safer" and "better" for the fish...why is this?

the "safest" and "best" hooks for the fish are the ones left in your tackle box ........... (or in Keiths case his thumb)

i now use circle hooks for most of my bait fishing and my catch rate has improved and i can safely say that the fish you require to return are healthier due to being 99.9percent corner of the mouth hooked so released easy. You have to remember not to strike as the fish swim off and the hook moves to the corner of their mouth causing them to hook the corner.
