what hooks would you reccomend for the river. Used 1/0 sakumas yesterday at st peters and noticed afterwards they were blunt.

were they proper sakuma's mate cos i use sakuma's all the time and ive used mine for a few sessions before they went blunt, they are a good hook which has never let me down.

agreed matey i never use nowt else ,you can tell by me fingers every time a bait up its AARRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH am always stickin them in me fingers lol ,sharpest of the sharpest :D

I've just been making soome rigs with Sakumas, you'd think I had magnetic fingers the amount of times I had them clinging in to my skin!

I swear by sakuma mantas, they pull out when snagged and they stay razor sharp. I had a double figure cod on 2/0 mantas earlier this year, they held very well.

im also quite dissapointed with them as when i got home i discovered i only got 5 in the pack and ther was suppost to be 10

i'd say you've been sold some snide hooks mate cos sakuma's have 10 in a pack. a few years ago when gamakatsu were the bee's knee's i got offered some snide gamakatsu's and when i looked at them i thought no way am i paying for them cos they were nowt like the real thing.

recently started using Sakuma Manta hooks, never had one go blunt on me yet, very impressed.

And yes, they do have a special magnet that attracts the point into my fingers too lol
