could anyone give me some advise on what hooks to get in bulk for pulley pennes ranging from 3/0 to 6/0

Those are the hooks I bought size 2/0. I got mine off ebay off some other angerling store. Realy are strong hook.

a use mantas mesel have for years[nice n sharp] but there gettig a tad priceya may change me hooks to vikings there not bad at all [much cheaper]and stronger than mantas

for me its got a be mustad vikings 7951 NPBR, i use 1/0s to 4/0s for most of my fishing ( aberdeens in summer for plaice) in all my years of fishing they have never let me down, have even had cod upto 6.5lbs on a 1/0 viking hand balled up the shields pier end, where as i have seen good fish lost on 6/0and 8/0 pennel rigs made with other makes of hooks

i agree pricey ,but the xtras are good hooks and worth paying a few pence more for security of lifting fish where ever you go

yes mate i use the manta extras theyre great but the extra price is getting outa hand lol, the vicking 5 and 6 will lift anything and a lot lot cheaper and i fish a lot of rough ground sometimes loose gear every other chuck,verypricey then lol

Thats true trev ease of mind the mantas give you, never tried the mustad vikings i've saw them in the tackle shop though i think its 25 hooks for 7 quid

Ive been useing Matzuo baitholder hooks for a few year now, they are a very sharpe strong wide gape hook, never had any problems with them. I use the 4/0 & 5/0 ideal for big baits.
