My friend and i are going to try horden beach tomorrow afternoon until about 8.00pm hope that my luck will change,as we have had almost nothing in the last few trips ,as it seems to be the same for a lot of the people on this forum ,will post Sunday to let everyone know if there is any change, as it has already been said ,you can't catch fish when you are sitting on the settee, i am quite willing to be the one that says "you should have been here last night", than here it from someone else, besides they say god loves a tryer

i was on the cliffs with the dogs yesterday afternoon, nice long waves coming in, screamed fish looking at it, especially the northern end, best of luck on your trip

I fished it lots lately and to be honest its been poor with only last Monday(easterley) fishing okay. Like Treeboa says the Northern End will most likey be the best spot to try.

Haven't done great myself down there lately, I only seem to get down AFTER the best conditions and end up with 1 fish. Having trouble bagging up recently.:red:

Well we fished about half way along the beach from 1.30pm until 5.00pm in a freezing cold wind and all we had to show for it was ice fingers and toes, not a single bite, there was no one fishing anywhere on the beach, one man came down in his four wheel drive and asked if we had caught anything ,but i think he already new the answer, as there is a comp on tomorrow he was testing the water bit alas no fish, the sea looked perfect for whitey but how many times this winter have we all said that ,then we thought they might come on when it gets dark, but as it was freezing cold and had been dark for only a short time we decided to call it a day ,once again Satan has farted in our faces, but we will keep trying and one day we will be in the right place at the right time , good luck to all those fishing the comp tomorrow on the beach ,you might need it , having a few beers in the warm sitting room now mmmmmmmm, so warm and so nice

never mind marra i've blanked more than newcastle this season been very poor on the beaches anyway i liked the satin bit

early last year on horden i was getting more whiting bites after high water, the better ones came to small squid stuffed with mussel

shame you froze your sticky out bits off, better luck next time
