just got in as fished all night off the beach at horden first 4 casts nowt not a bite mackie tipped with squid or rag.. tried something a mate of mine from southampton told me ,soak mackie in balsamic and fish stock from a bottle and cooking oil (old) had made it up soaked for 12hrs... first cast decent whitey 2nd cast good whitey,and so on. had a total of 12 whiteys fish almost every cast. my mate fishes fawley power station and always does well so am going to try again on roker pier this week. this also works with fresh prawn he says. not much good for cod as you can see but seems to be a killer for the whitey.
