Just heard of an accident at horden, a angler being washed in off the beach, I hope the lad is ok, i won't put his name up.

did anyone hear how its turned out

just read the news it seams that the Horden lad was rescued, although 15 lads also had to be rescued off Roker pier, must have been some heavy swells yesterday. sounds like everyone is ok...............good

Why was the pier gates open on saturday i ask 60mile gusts SE winds on friday big sea runing big tides and roker pier was open to evey body to go ???? 15 anglers on the round head,

Slightly off the tragedy at Horden,but maybe we should be looking as to why 15 people would want to risk their lives to catch a fish.not that the gates were open.Im sure the more people bang on about the gates being open it will not be to far inthe future that someone in the council or their insurers makes the decision to close it for good.My condolences to the family of the lad from Peterlee who lost his life.
