Blanked down Horden today, fished the tide in from 1-30. Used lug,rag mussle,sandeel,squid and mackerel. Two rods all that bait and nothing ,not even a flatty, am I doing something wrong ???

Your doing exactly the same as most at the moment just enjoy the air and keep trying if you know the number of the bloke from horden who makes the sinkers please let me know

hardlines m8 i decided on fishing the river today had a canny session double shot of coalies and a size flatty best coalie was size 35cm,s took on frozen crab well most fish took crab baits or ragworm tipped off with mackerel

I was down there Saturday as well from 1pm to about 5. Had a couple of coalies to 32 cm, a Flounder and a pin Whiting. All the fish came fairly close in, one of the coalies and the Flounder on Mackerel and the other coalie and Whiting on Rag.

Fished another rod at range and didn't get a sniff on that one, big lug, Mackerel or peeler baits were coming back untouched.

Still at least it was a nice day to be out.
