How do you know if your fishing in the right spot at parton ?

Today I thought I would try a different place to drown worms so I headed for the beach and tried my luck at parton rocks. People said to fish with the tin shed to my back but even at low tide I couldn't see no tin shed from the beach.
When finished I climbed up onto the banks and seen the frame of an old building approx 200 mtrs north of the prom steps were I parked, is this the tin shed the people talk about?
I fished from high to low along the beach but only got one bite and after a nightshift I was too slow to get that..... I used lug and squid and I hoped to bag my first bass but to no avail.. maybe it was too early for bass I don't know.
Any advice from anyone please.

Griff i fish along this beach regularly and the best spots are by the side of Steetly and right along the beach at the end of the prom. I like fishing the water up to high tide then high water then and hour down.
But to be honest any where should be good off Parton. Crucial for the fishing is to have some nice ragworm. Use a two hook flapper with one or two o hooks with a breakaway lead and cast at the third breaker-sometimes you might only be in a few feet of water.
Keep at this and i promise you will nail a Bass.
I tried today and failed. I suppose it was just one of those days but without nice fresh red rag you will struggle.
Mick. (surf is very important as fish feed in it.).

Thanks Mick

Thanks Mick

Thanks for that Mick, Its reasureing that at least is was in the correct place, but had the wrong bait. The Friarage only had lug so i just snaffled that and some frozen squid.
I think I will try the heugh tonight and fish the tide up, I have heard you can get around the metal fence alot easier now, so i will give it a crack after Parents evening.
Thanks again

Griff
