I can guess that the material the mould is made out of needs to have a much higher melting point than stuff you put into it but a few anglers on the forums are engineering type proper workers, is it not possible to make your own moulds? next step would be to distribute them freely amongst members.

As the old saying goes .\"Give a man a lead and he\'ll loose it within 2 casts. give a man a mould and he\'ll burn holes in the kitchen flooring, but have a shit load of sinkers.\"

ell aliuminum thats the game i make nearly all my moulds ive even got a 16 oz one that is a miniture nuke sub with a bulbis on the nose so it drops quicker

Ell some thing like the Dremmel tool and some Aluminium and Bobs your uncle. I made one for the boat 12oz bomb shaped and it looks like a professional job that you would buy from the dealers.

I got one made at work, clamp two bits of aluminium plate togther then drill holes, I reckon about 1\"dia hole x about 3.1/2\" deep should give a lead about a pound. Then you can dowel the two halves together.

i also make my own , having an engineering background and having lathes millers , gas ring to melt lead etc to use at work , makes the job alot easier, i also use alluminium block to make the moulds

Ell i can sort you out two bits of ally plate to design your own mould, if this will help you out

or you could have a look on the www.dcamoulds.co.uk website good prices and save the bother
