Howick Haven - Late report

Had a run up to Howick on friday night.I`ve not fished the Haven before though i fancied a fish or 2 with conditions the way they were . First cast with 2.5hrs of ebb left produced a 5lb codling to razor n blacks so i was feeling confident for the rest of the session.
It was hard going and gear losses were high and ,worst of all,the first cast curse had struck so i had a few more bites but no more fish.Thinking about it now i may have been better fishing the beach areas up there(Sugar Sands or Howdiemont Sands) rather than the rocky/kelp area i fished but i`ll try it again another time.

was up there last night it was very poor lots of weed and only managed 2 codling both about 1.5lb tried both bays so really hard going

Bit of a tackle graveyard. Not had much luck there myself.
