anyone no if howick has been fishing lately

No been very poor
Fished 5 hours at cullernose point not even a bite
Moved down to doctors house same story & put in 3hours
3 hours before high tide
Used fresh lug black lug mussel squid & some mushy peeler!!

Cannot stand collernose point its the most overrated shot going. There's much better shots a stones throw away imo. Good luck where ever you choose mate.

But it's just one of them places you think maybe this time!!!

Cullernose is very much a place you have to hit when the conditions are right its only overated cause its become so popular but ive been on there and seen some cracking cod caught and am talking big cod in numbers there is a area where you need a bit of a cast and believe me you can get into some canny cod we were up there last month fished the black hole on the flood then moved along to the point nearing top water there was some lads had been there for hours nowt our first two cast into fish don't be to quick to dismiss some marks the whole of the haven right up past craster to the castle are cracking spots

Thats what I'm saying mate there's better shot nearby. I just don't like place but each to thier own.

Had a canny day at rock mark just beside cullernose point
1st cast landed a cod around 4lb
Followed by another 2 of similar size

All caught on bottom tide
Sea flat as a pancake
& all caught on whole squid

had all my fish and some goodins 150 yards north of the point there is a pool shows at half tide fish either side
